re: good-bye mrl I haven't bothered looking at the financials, or followed the stock since I sold at around $1.50. However retailers normally have substantially higher payables than receivables. That's the nature of the business. A lot of stock and theoretically the money should come in (profitably) to make sure accounts are paid as and when due. Hence, provided inventory is above payables all is OK.
That's for a normal company. The industry MRL is in, especially the discount part, is totally stuffed structurally and has been for some time. Non-speculators would have gotten out ages ago. The only time I see a possible entry is if that NZ company cuts losses and leaves. Even then I'd wait 12 months to see what happens.
