Seems quite clear to me that news surrounding the recent price rise is related to the transfer of a significant holding, reason is that if it were related to negotiations regarding a further capital injection they would have no justification for not going into a trading halt, espec. after the please explain notice from ASX.
Now whether or not management has arranged this based on knowledge and quite evident selling by large holders, or whether it's been instigated by an opportunistic competitor who understands the value of the company it's really irrelevant to the resulting share price, although it would be nice to think that management has played a part in trying to bring in buyers to meet sellers - probably just wishful thinking though. And given what's occurring is essentially negotiations between a current holder (s) and potential new cornerstone holders it's understandable that the company has not gone in a trading or been able to prevent leakage of info.
So the more interesting and exciting question now is what price do we think the off market trade will be made at? I guess it depends on just how much of the stock the new investors want, we all know that there are current holders with more stock than any new holder can dream of but the more they want naturally the higher the price the seller will be able to negotiate.
I'm guessing anywhere between 22 cents to 27 cents for a large parcel of 10-20% would be considered as good value by a competitor in the industry making a strategic investment, so I'm gonna have a stab at at the bottom of that range and say 23cents, being the conservative sod that I am! Which really wouldn't be a bad outcome for us all but still at half price of the last raising where much less was on offer.
What do you all reckon, would you sell up to 20% of this company at a price in that range?
I'd say if the next quarterly shows a decent cash profit the stock wont ave any issues in trading above that price, as long as the large sellers are wiped off the table first, if not not even a quarterly will help as they should continue to dump into strength until they are done.
