That's certainly one out of left field merging MCW and MOF. I would have thought IOF merging with MOF (after MOF internalises its management and changes its name) would have made more sense as they operate in like-for-like businesses whereas MCW and MOF don't so they would be very much an odd-couple to merge.
It would make more sense for MCW to merge with MDT yet MCW is trying to distance itself from its offshore assets so I don't see that happening either as I can't imagine it wanting to take on even more US assets when they are trying to get rid of them.
It'll be interesting to see what does happen, but it seems that the internalisation of management and a name change are the two most likely outcomes to occur in the coming months.
As for anything above and beyond that we will just have to wait and see.
