I haven't read a single one explain why the Chinese will pay to ship graphite to China at a higher cost than they can produce it there. Just playground responses.

Non-Chinese is significant. I used to hold Lamboo (LMB) but got out when they got their Chinese deal and that didn't turn out too well. Try enforcing the contract in Chinese courts. 40,000 tonnes of real legally binding take or pay contract are worth more than 300k of un-enforceable contracts.
