Don't be too disappointed if Minister Sherry sends back a letter with wording like this:

Under its governing statute, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001, I (the Minister) am specifically precluded from giving ASIC a direction about its policies or priorities in relation to a specific case.

How do I know. I wrote to the Minister about ASIC's conduct in a similar matter.

Oh, and don't expect ASIC to be taking up your complaint any time soon, unless, or course, your name is Packer or you are a senior exec with MacBank.
