It might seem to be a fairly abstract thread at present but not for much longer. Its (solar /hydrogen/Ammonia) the holy grail, forget batteries and pumped hydro, this will soon be the way of storing green energy and transferring it around the world, just as fossil fuel is now, powering motors and fertilising crops. The relevance is it will take massive areas of solar farms and building roofs to provide cheap solar electricity to split the water.

And who is at the forefront of next generation solar panel technology? GSL. CSIRO, not known for hype, are creaming their pants at the vastness of this new market now they have developed the tech to move the hydrogen (the smallest molecule on the periodic table, no mean feat) around via ammonia. Likewise ThyssenKrupp see the vast need for equipment to make green ammonia once they have cheap power.
