I agree with you about the daunting task of MAD - Greatcell Solar learnt this the hard way. But there are other applications where it is not a risky undertaking and doesn't require such a large investment. Step by step proving of the products, gradually increasing size and 'stress'.  Anything for the utility solar PV market needs some years of approval testing before the market will buy it - I think that includes 'strap on'. Yet I take your point about this possible market. That's all I can say for now.
