"you think bitcoin is for wealthy people only. "
No. But Bitcoin needs to be widely accepted before it can become a method of payment for most people.
"Have you thought about people that earn less that what you pay for a coffee every day. Most of Africa for example.?"
Yes, and that is how I arrived at my current viewpoint. Somebody in Africa who earns less than an amount for a cup of coffee per day could not possibly kick start Bitcoin use with current technology, Nobody else would accept it, and so they would have to pay conversion fees that they could not afford. Additionally, the public nature of the base layer enables Governments to easily identify and target people using analytical tools. Therefore in order for Bitcoin to be used by these types of people 3 things must occur:
- Conversion fees need to radically drop below the base layer fees on a widely used network - Base layer size increases (Reverse scaling) assuming widespread use kick out the 'long tail' of small miners which currently enable people to have sovereignty over their own money. Once the 'long tail' small miners are removed, the remaining miners can collude. This means that you've in effect replaced a cartel with a cartel. This cartel would continue similar actions of the previous cartel, censoring transactions and charging high fees. The cartel would also likely consider increasing the money entering circulation, so as to offset the necessity for excessively high fees. To reduce these fees without re-introducing another cartel system, layer scaling needs to occur. This means thousands or millions of transactions should be able to occur directly between participants for any 1 given Bitcoin (Broadcast) transaction.
- Wide acceptance by others - In order for Bitcoin to be widely used by merchants it needs to be widely accepted. Bcash promoters attempt to artificially jump start payment method without the money being widely accepted in the first place. Eventually these merchants will see no reason to maintain a payment method that no one is accepting.
- Anonymity - In order for Bitcoin to be used without censor, it must be anonymous. The Lightning network offers a solution to this with direct peer to peer payments and onion routing. In contrast, using Bcash on the base layer enables Governments and criminals to target and censor people
"bitcoin is not digital gold its digital cash."
Bitcoin is what the market participants want it to be, and the market has clearly signalled over the past year that they do not like your ideas
