Smart money enters a stock after a significant downtrend during an accumulation phase of a period of at least 3 months or more. Volumes increase significantly with the stock price basically ranging with a modest bias to the upside. This event happens before a significant fundamental change in a companies outlook. It might be before a big funding deal or as we HOPE some day a cornerstone investor puts their financial future on the line by backing a company.

If you are implying that current holders are the smart money...... by definition you are incorrect.
