But farmers are also forgetting that the consumer now paying a lot more of his income on what is effectively a rising energy tax in the form of higher fuel costs and everything that impacts on. So meat consumption will decrease as meat prices stagflationarily increase. Ultimate grain legumes must prevail because food manufacturers can use plant based prteins which are cheaper than meat and almost hardly effected by rising oil prices, to deliver protein to the masses.
