something worth watching for: when the bollinger bands narrow into a thin strip during a period of considerable activity, means something will happen soon. a powerful breakout in one direction or the other.
amory has been observing such a formation taking shape in the DowJones, which must be getting tired of pottering about in the ten-six/ ten-seven range.
