There are a few posters that have been rather insistently suggesting that the market for graphene products is very early in the development stage, and that for example we won't be seeing a graphene battery til 2020.
In fact, one says, there are no graphene products at all in commercial production CURRENTLY (poster's bold).
Having a go at nasa, after the bear had provided a number of links that he would suggest a little research would show otherwise, the poster ignored the invitation and made the challenge:
"If you knew of any end users, you would be sprouting (sic) them off here...." "It doesn't require a 1000 word post. Just name one. Simple."
It seems many didn't care to check the links, - a number of thumbs supporting the contention that graphene isn't in any commercial products yet.
Well, checking the suggested info shows the contrary is the case. There are a wide range of commercial applications in various fields that can be easily found. For example:
1) Widely advertised graphene enhanced tennis and squash rackets.
2) Graphene based flexible touch panels for mobile devices - reportedly millions a month in China are being supplied to smartphone makers.
3) Graphene enhanced skis, lightweight and more durable.
4) From Thermene - a graphene thermal paste used to help cool CPU's
5) Bicycle race wheels made by Vittoria using graphene enhanced composite materials, claimed by the maker to be the best available.
6) From Spanish sports manufacturer Catlike, available are cycle helmets and footwear - to give greater strength and flexibility.
7) A graphene based MRI agent is being released this month that will greatly extend the application of MRI scanning.
The new contrast enhancer greatly improves MRI safety and efficacy, and opens up the MRI market to renal and cardiovascular patients.
8) The European Space Agency announced two months ago that it will be powering a spacecraft, targeted for orbit in 2018, with ultracapacitors from Skeleton Technologies.
Then there are the graphene paints and graphene inks, and 3D printing paste....all in use NOW.
Is that more than "Just one"?
Although graphene was first isolated only a decade ago, it is already widely utilised in various fields, and with many thousands of researchers and developers finding uses that are being launhced onto the commercial market month by month.
The EU has set up a EU$1 BILLION fund for commercial development of graphene based products, to establish Europe as the front-runner in the commercial application of the world-changing material.
And the British government has provided 61 million pounds for the just opened Manchester facility aimed at placing that country at the forefront of "the graphene age".
There are still some who just don't understand the onslaught of new applications and products due in the coming months and years.
MRF is perfectly placed to play a leading role with its very high grade and high purity vein graphite.
