JB and Omero,
NAG have done everything by the book to prepare their site for PASS disposal. NAGs proposed disposal plans meet every one of the he EPA criteria for safe handling of PASS.
There is no doubt other landfills have not taken the same steps to prepare their sites for PASS.
How do I (we) know? Easy to work out.
For the price/tonne quoted by these landfills, according to the figures generously provided by people like Punter, it would be completely and absolutely impossible to treat the PASS properly. In other words, it is self-evident. We have discussed this many times, with many posters providing lime costs, fuel costs, labour, transport and testing costs.
NAG is shaping up as the landfill site of choice for PASS.
Cheers
Nanu
