My name is Cameron McLean, I am the Managing Director at Ion Minerals.
As you are a shareholder I wanted to introduce myself and update you on what the Ion Mineralsprojects bring to GreenPower.
·Some of the highest grade cobalt projects in Australia. Our immediate focus is on Lincoln Springs in Queensland which has rock chip samples of up to 3.16%. Weather permitting we will be drilling there before Christmas.
·The Ashburton project in WA has grades of up to 1.89%. We will be doing soil sampling early in the new year.
·Our Julia Creek vanadium project in Queensland hosts the Toolebuc formation and is 40km from the St Elmo deposit.
·New management with two experienced executives in the mining sector each bringing their own financial and technical networks.
In relation to the GreenPower projects:
OHD
Having spent a great deal of time learning about the OHD concept I am excited about the project, its benefits and its differentiation. It is our view that whilst testing will always be ongoing, there is sufficient justification that OHD has commercial potential. The key change in strategy is that rather than build a PDU, we are looking to build a commercial scale plant with the capacity to supply the Australian market. The project however needs capital and knowledge of the agriculture industry. We have made a key appointment who has both mining and agriculture experience and we are engaging with potential financial partners to commercialise OHD.
Guyana
As we stand we own 51% of the project. Trench samples supported the decision to progress but drilling results have not backed up the initial samples. We are reviewing the stage 3 exploration results and a highly regarded lithium expert engaged to review both the drill program and the results.
As you know there is a vote on the acquisition of Ion Minerals on October 12. Under the agreement Gerry King would move to a Non Executive Director role. I would assume the Managing Director role and Alistair Williams would come on the Board.
