The ONLY way to "address" the relentless rise in health care costs is better treatments, for currently incurable diseases, as simple as that, everything thing else is dancing 'round the fire! Frankly, that in the 21stC we STILL have limited responses, to many of these conditions, is rather sad! We can do better, but - in addition to dollars - we need much better coordinated research, more accountability for overall program results - [accepting that failure is a part of ultimate success] - and a SAFE yet more rapid path from the bench-top, through clinical trials and to the bedside, what too many people, at times forget, it's REALLY all about!
