Large number of farmers produce a minority of the wheat crop. The small number that produce the majority will be the ones who if given choice (ie in the inevitability of the Single Desk being removed) will aggressively market to whoever has the best price. They don't care who they sell too. They just want the best price. AWB has never allowed transparency so we can see if they really are doing as well as what they claim in achieving market premiums. Personally I think they are able to aggressively market grain because they have the cheapest price. I mean comeon, this is only wheat we are talking about and the markets are mostly third world.
Bottom line, Single Desk goes, AWB is forked! Ocker I think the $10 target your broker gave you is almost certainly unachievable now! LOL But you didn't need a broker, the information was right here on Hotcopper!
