My thoughts exactly. Such a serious and prevalent disease in women. Early detection with a higher than 97% success rate.

Imagine the benefit for those with a family history or predisposed to disease. Not to mention women with non specified gynaecological issues.

Too many cases in past and present going undetected or incorrectly diagnosed; by the time it is detected major surgery and chemo is required to save the individuals life.

As all should be aware there is a high morbidity rate amongst sufferers. Even cases that are fortunate enough to be detected in its early stages still have no guarantee of cure. OvPlex is quite revolutionary in this respect.

Surely a simple blood test will alleviate all the stress and fear of possibly contracting the disease without knowing. Alleviates having intrusive tests and laparoscopic surgery to find cancer cells. Unfortunately by then it is often too late for the patient.

Never mind the costs per test. Imagine the costs and heartache if diagnosed with any stages of ovarian cancer.

PS. I also envisage Govt subsidies for tests will be considered in most countries. IMO.
