You have to think longer-term then who is in power today. These policies are Liberal ones, and will be grabbed on by the opposition as a point of difference to not make life harder for working class people when it comes to their health. Every few years or more when a different political party is in power there will be more changes to the healthcare system, some favourable and others less so, but none can stop the unstoppable trend of the ageing population and their likely healthcare requirements. This is a snowball. The market is very volatile at present so almost every sector is feeling the brunt of it. If you ditch the defensive healthcare sector, what do you have left to invest in?
