I spoke to the MD's of a couple of lithium companies I hold shares in today and their consistent view of the current poor market sentiment towards lithium is that although the MS over supply predictions proved to be false the demand which the analysts also expected this year has not yet materialised at the rates they thought. In particular China has not ramped up its production to the levels thought yet. To add to this, funding in the general resources sector is also very tight, particularly in the spec to going to developer end, and investors are wanting to see funding sources to reduce risk before they buy. How this relates to ASN is that IMO (and this is just my opinion) is the market is expecting some sort of CR or funding required for the pilot plant shortly and people are holding off until they see the company announce where these funds will come from. I also believe that the market wants to see a JORC and wants to see ASN announce that they have achieved battery grade in both carbonate and hydroxide. Once we get these announcements and have shown we have a proven process to get to consistent battery grade then I think we will see more interest. Although we all know on here the potential value of the other minerals as well I dont think these will be recognised in the SP until the JORC is done.

IMO Bruce is still doing a very good job and just getting on and ticking off each step as he goes so I see the criticism of him on here as being unjustified. Remember he would not have just got offices in Las Vegas and hired new staff if he didnt think this project would be a goer.

Too many people on here want everything now, but if you are in this long term, as I am, then pay less attention to the day to day SP and look at the long term potential rewards. Just look at the charts in late 2017. It didnt take long for the SP to hit new highs then from the lows and I believe when the market sentiment towards lithium returns later this year we will not only reach but exceed those highs. All this is just my opinion.
