If the markets are not big enough or growing rapidly enough, then you have to displace the competition, to do that you need to reduce prices to win contracts. It can be a race to the bottom, selling (maybe) more quantity for reducing prices.

Li market is expected to expand anywhere between 6-20% a year depending which report you believe, all driven on immediate demand. That means you get to sell more quantity for ever increasing prices and secure customers.

It's much more complicated than simply looking at how much spot price may be.
