Not really sure in Australia how you are set-up for zero trading sites.

I know millennial and young traders here in the States have a different mindset and chase stocks in groups through social media and such. The ability to stay focused on any subject more than a minute, is pretty rare these days.
The populations of Australia, US, London, Germany all seem to have different holding strategies. I think spec's are a whole different animal altogether and each to their own. I don't think too many have the risk appetite and appreciate the volatilty to survive too long. I'm still working on it and having just done my taxes, my tax lady says I'm definitely improving. (As per my loss bracket).
