I often despair at our education system's ability to churn out students unable to comprehend plain english. Journalists are told to write for a 15 year old's education level so newspapers are easy for people to understand, However I might have to start using sign language and phonetics to get through to some people on Hotcopper.

It's a pretty short one because you can't, lol.

I was replying directly to correct an obviously factually wrong assertion. One poster incorrectly thought the oil would be similar to oil in a separate basin 462 kilometers away. For what reason? Who knows? They are both in water off the coast of Australia?
Why was there even conjecture? It's been reported EXACTLY what the oil in both locations is. I happen to pay attention to pesky things like, say, the assets a stock has, so I injected some facts into the conversation.
No need to thank me for educating you about both investments!

Here's your second assignment: Where have I said it's particularly positive for BRU?

Here's what I actually said "it's not a bad thing, but you really can't draw too much from it. It's a separate sub basin, as different as the Kidson is to (BRU's) main trough" ie don't get too excited, it doesn't really mean anything in a technical sense.

Here's your third assignment: Learn context

It's possible a discovery in the offshore Canning might provide some intangible investor focus on the general Canning... maybe. When discussing BRU, with it's Canning permits this discovery, which I've publically stated doesn't mean much for BRU, means EVEN LESS for a prospect FAR AWAY in a DIFFERENT BASIN. So when discussing CYRANO, like I was, even if I'd said Phoenix means big things for BRU (which is the OPPOSITE of what I've stated) I STILL wouldn't be displaying any kind of bias by stating the published FACTS on CYRANO. It's a WHOLLY SEPARATE CONVERSATION.
