Nine Lives you obviously know this company pretty well and have expressed good views.
Firstly I do not hold any shares in EXE but have been following this company at arms length for about a year now. I am not normally attracted to the speculative nature of these types of stocks but as can so often happen Exoma was mentioned to by some friends who do own shares. They do have some reasonable insights into this company and its expected outcomes via close connections.
    What I know is this
    1. There is a large resource implied on EXE's tenement with strong expectations.
    2. Rigs are currently on sites having experienced many delays and have recently not been operational due to weather/rain
    3. Gas / energy are going to be significant contributors to our economy and as such any realistic discovery will be richly rewarded on conformation
    4. If a resource is confirmed EXE and its partner have the pipeline resource from extraction to customer.

So drilling results are simply delayed and if you have been holding this stock for a long time now, I can understand how time/doubts will begin to cloud your original investment decisions. So what has changed? time lines? has the story or base case to be invested changed? and does this lessen the reason to remain invested?

Conspiracy thoughts - maybe just exploring the outer boundary possibilities - often a reflection of healthy mind.
You make a lot of sense to explore all the possibilites and there maybe some elements of convenient truth/timing buried in there, but from what I can see its simply all about the delay's due to rain, which is quite normal for this type of speculative business, hence the large rewards if it all comes together.

I have only more recently become a lot more interested due to current SP and timing as I see better weather patterns on the horizon and a backlog of drilling to be completed in quick time as the rigs become more mobile/operative. This is something that long standing investors have had to endure for a long time now and the long awaited drilling results will flow in quicker time now. (Balance of 2012 & 2013)
The question that stands out in my mind the most is Q. how much resources have been confirmed or near enough to being confirmed to attibute to a base value versus actual share price. If anyone has that handy i would appreciate if they could post (or re post)
