I do not see anywhere in ENG documentation or financials where ENG claim to have any ownership or involvement or indeed even any plans with Unwired. I do note that Unwired offer ENG Voip plans to it's customers but that seems to be the lkinmit of any officvial involvement. Just because Unwired is a company owned by Seven does not automatically infer that ENG either owns or even has some sort of advantageous access to it.

Given that Seven has spent over $100M purchasing Unwired it is unlikely in the extreme that Seven would want the market to think that it is only aligned with ENG as a VOIP partner. Such a situation would specifically exclude Unwired from any potentially lucrative partnership deals with other VSP's. Australia is simply too small a market to be mutually exclusive.

ENG is a stand alone entity and appears to be offering Naked DSL shortly, it appears that ENG agree with me that VOIP is best served via landline based broadband.

In any event, VOIP over Wimax certainly sounds more usable than VOIP over Wifi, I would agree with this, however, to make it truly a solution that would rival mobile phones Nokia & others would have to add Wimax to their future mobile releases. There is no guarantee that this will occur as we have already seen a Telco revolt against Nokia with their N & E series phones with inbuilt SIP/VOIP clients.

Even if, in the event that Seven do rehash the Unwired wireless spectrum and update it to Wimax, how long do you think it will take to implement and if phone manufacturers such as Nokia do support it, again how long from this day on until users can purchase a Wimax enabled mobile phone & access an Unwired Wimax network? If your answer is anytime under 2-3 years then I think you are kidding yourself.

Again, I reiterate, Seven has spent over $100M aquiring 100% ownership in Unwired and to date Unwired appears to be running at a loss, think ROI (return on investment). Seven need to stretch out the exisiting Unwired technology for as long as it is able to without having to re-invest additional 100's of millions of dollars to simply replace the technology in a system that already works now.

As for Seven potentially buying MNF, I do not think you can rule this out entirely, Seven has a history of buying into VOIP companies does it not? Although buying ENG has no doubt left them and Seven shareholders with a very bitter taste.

Your statement that Seven will not definately purchase MNF seems very authoritive. Judging by the structure, tone and lack of any evidence in your posts I gather that you are not involved at any executive level in either of these companies and ask that you justify your claim with some facts if you wish to continue posting these statements.

Please check your facts more thoroughly before posting.
