The stock overhang has always been an issue for IPH due to their acquisition strategy. I'm just wondering whether the parties which have the stock escrowed are able to hedge their position and thus be part of the reason for the shorting. In the past, I've always assumed it was funds shorting in the knowledge they could buy a cheaper tranche when escrowed shares became available.
