Yeah I had heard from inside Gage that they had been looking at a canning facility for a while but it was a case of what set up, whether they needed a large high speed or a small facility for special releases. Will be interesting to see what brands end up in cans but it would seem the best alternative for their special releases - the Double IIPA for example.

You'd think that they would consider taking in another WA brand and on that front I am still keen for an eventual play for Colonial - which has an established brewpub in margs and melbourne, affiliated with Essedon FC and a branding / can range that fits with Gage. The Victorian tie-in of CBco puts it in the front and centre over other WA brands I believe. Time will tell but that's my two cents on strategy moving forward.

Also it's worth noting that Good Drinks will likely be the vehicle they use to deal overseas and from what I understand Asia is very much in the focus - it could be what we hear more about now that Matsos is settled.
