You definitely win the award for the least informative down-ramp of the year. I agree with the post above that the Air-Stewards sexual preferences should not come into this at all, and you appear to be one of the only people I have heard from that dislikes Virgin's service. With regards to your comment about your Pacific Blue flight to Phuket, it is people like you that are the joke! Virgin are a LOW COST CARRIER, if you pay less for your fare, don;t complain about paying for food, if you want a free food and full service, you should have flown Thai Airways! But you didn't, why? Cos Virgin was cheaper! which is the whole point!

And granted, sometimes Virgin are almost as expensive as Qantas, all that shows is that Virgin's promotional and cheaper fares have sold out and Qantas' haven't sold as many seats yet, meaning the prices are equal. That in itself makes Virgin a buy for me, if people like you are paying the same price as the "Full Service" Qantas. As stated before the "meal" that you get on Qantas isnt worth the cardboard it is made out of! Also, if you are happy to fly with a com company that blindly ripped the Australian Public off for decades than do so!
