Not sure the regulators will worry this one too much stix. With deregulation of barley and now wheat there is plenty of competition. Currently there are 21 registered bulk exporters of wheat, with god knows how many playing in containers.

Issue may be more around control of ports and limitation of access.

Can't say i am hopeful about a local bid. Graincorp is a mess, AWB has no cash (unless they sell Landmark to NAB as rumoured)and CBH is tied up by a grower shareholder base. Outside of the industry players don't seem too interested in Ag at present either. Still, never know..
