Spot on - the obsession with the Announcements on contract wins is not where the focus should be, and as you point out, the trick is for management to focus on the margins, avoid stuff-ups, and grow at a manageable pace if this can be done profitably. Historically, NWH has been superb in doing just that, with only Samsung spoiling the record. In fact one of NWH's greatest assets is not something that can be found in the balance sheet - it is the painful memory of what deals to avoid in the future.
