Good post Shikari , Im novice but i can remember when the first property boom started in aussie and im in wa my little timber frame house in a suburb about 8 klms from perth city and 3 klms from the beach was going up $1000.00 per week for some time , im 65 ish . Me and my friends all tradies with a basic understanding of the financial system used to talk about prices and what the future was going to be like for our next generations to follow and we all came to the conclusion that it has to be controlled and that it at some point it has to burst prices were crazy , i understand that greed is a major factor but it stuns me that no one in the position to control what was happening did nothing . i understand that we are part of the larger financial picture but not all world economies followed the same path its amazing realy that relatively in a short period of time how an economy can be brought to its knees , and now all the rats are leaving canberra and taking their substancial pensions .Aussie and its people deserve better my grandfathers and grandmothers would be turning in their graves in disgust . o and i sorry for my rant.
