Wouldn't say that it was a "New" gold provance they were mining just down the road in the 30s at the Granites. If anyone is interested there is a book called Tragedy Trackwritten buy forget his name, which gives an interesting account of the goldrush in the Tanami region in the 30's. Good reading.
