If anybody had spent much time around the Mt Magnet, Meekatharra area they would know that not only are there numerous gold mines both open cut and underground but countless small one man operations. Punch in gold lease and look on gumtree and you will be surprised how many there are not only there but also the gold fields. The simple fact that it was never developed indicates that it isn't viable, the only people who made money out of this project were the directors of PNE with there huge wages and fees. A little research will reveal all as its all accessible via that great tool called google, and by the way rdncoic this isnt defaming anyone its just stating simple common knowledge facts.
