The one thing that puzzles me with regard to geothermal energy...

The one thing that puzzles me with regard to geothermal energy is that the Greens don't lay their prayer mats in front of it. The only explanation I can think of is that they may not be comfortable with the thought of all that uranium radiating *naturally* below the surface. They may be worried that people might start to say that if radiating material is already below the earth, where's the objection to burying nuclear waste? After all, we can bury waste more securely than the haphazard processes of nature can.
