If this spike is related to something real that pertains to KSC as a business, then the buying could be caused by one of the following reasons:
* something related to diesel fuel;
* a tender secured taking work off Cootes;
* a takeover offer; or
* an institutional investor taking a position.
I covered the first point in my earlier post. I mentioned Cootes in a post in February, part of which reads "We recently delivered fuel for Caltex to help them with fuel supplies into Metro Service Stations whilst some Cootes Tankers were taken off the road." The potential of the combined KSC and SCC business would not escape the attention of well-heeled and savvy folk in the logistics game, or for that matter a forward-thinking institutional investor.
We poor mushrooms just do not know, so do not assume that the fictions of my imagination are real.
