DATADOT TECHNOLOGY, which sports the unfortunate ASX code of
DDT, has been listed for only a month so it's probably too young to
know that it's not wise to spruik one's accolades.
Too often they turn out to be the kiss of death.
Anyway, directors of the asset security company proudly
announced that the company's "Mighty Dot" product had won a number of
prestigious industry awards in the United Kingdom and Europe.
In the United Kingdom, Mighty Dot has won the What Car? 2005
Security Award for the best product able to deter thieves.
Datadot said What Car? - one of the UK's "most respected auto
magazines" - annually judges major security products and releases its
findings to law enforcement agencies, the insurance industry and
general public.
In Europe, Mighty Dot has won the Gold Medal award for
Automotive Security and the Gold Medal for Home Security at the Securex
2005 Security Industry Trade Fair held at Poznan, Poland.
This major security event attracted more than 50,000 trade
visitors.
Mighty Dot is the first product ever to win the gold medals in
both categories.
However, Datadot shares are worthy of a stags' award after the
25-centers made their debut at 33c on January 12 and pushed ahead to
52c on January 20 before profit-takers
