Yes, I think he would be great for Freo, good size, good strength and versatile. We don't really have a player like that except for Pav. Lets face it our depth is not too flash, imagine being able to select Goddard as opposed to borderline players like Keplar and Dylan Roberton. Maybe the time to try and "buy" is just right. Admittedly his form has not been that great for a while however his performance in the drawn grand final was phenomenal.
A big change could be just the tonic he needs. 27 - should be at his very peak.
