FGR (graphene) are pursuing this strategy whereby have multiple irons-in-the fire both product applications with minimal regulatory hurdles to overcome (eg, graphene in fibreglass for canoes/sports equip/recreational boats etc) and also longer term applications where they acknowledge the path to market will involve overcoming many hurdles prior to industry acceptance & rubber-stamping (eg, fire-retarding coatings). And it seems that it will generate sales relatively quickly.
EDE's saving grace is that is alongway down the regulatory track with acceptance/testing of concrete but how many possible short-track ventures have been glossed over that could have been generating revenue & widermarket exposure of the CNT??
