Yes wowoogoog, you are correct last divi was in 2011. All funds since then were spent to develop the worlds largest manganese mine in South Africa, now producing 3.5 million tonnes of Mn ore. The mine Tshipi is co owned by Jupiter JMS, OMH and Ntsimbintle. Profits this year $280 million. JMS shareholders will get 3 or 4 cents divi in a few weeks time.
Tshipi could be churning out 5 million tonnes annually next year, it has a 100 year mine life. A bit different to picking up Mn lumps by hand in Indonesia and sticking them in bags.
The OMH CEO has declared that dividends will be resumed shortly. Profit for 2018 will be around $260 to $300 million and next year a 10c/share divi ( ie. 5c each half year ) will only cost $73 million just a 25% payout.
Thats the advantage of borrowing money rather than diluting the hell out of shareholders.
