Would be nice to compile a link list of major network hardware/architecture providers and technologies to keep in touch with the developments of algo/bot trading.
fast global exchange interconnectivity is paramount to liquiditiy. sadly this link focuses on sell-side interconnection liquidity. which means arbitrage and sell dynamics 24hours a day in nanoseconds.
IMO - the next market crash is going to be fast, large, and take advantage of unprotected networks. (whenever it happens)

Liquidnet already offers Liquidnet Dark, which allows participants to route orders to other non-displayed liquidity venues, and Supernatural, which allows traders to route orders to additional liquidity sources, in North America and Europe.
