I further recommended they reduce complexity and costs by investigating utilizing existing audio infrastructure e.g. microphones installed at airports to monitor noise emissions.

CEO & Managing Director nearmap.com (ASX:NEA)
Nearmap
September 2010 – October 2015 (5 years 2 months)
Recruited as CEO to take over from the founder. I inherited under-baked prototype IP and no coherent business strategy. I focused on establishing a strategic vision for nearmap that was realistic given limited cash and resources. I was then asked to take over as MD of the public parent company and restructured the entire business end-to-end. This entailed a clear vision and overcoming many challenges. The overall achievement was the creation of an innovative business with sustainable competitive advantage and high returns for shareholders.
