Wasnt there news recently about the carbon tax blowing out local council budgets on waste landfills. Found one of the many articles on the net here:

"Landfill charges will be impacted significantly as a result of the implementation of carbon pricing."
Local councils might consider turning waste into bioenergy which might reduce their carbon tax paid on landfills. Just my 2cents.
