probly a stock which is being shorted the most of any on the asx at the moment you would think.
i dont understand fully how short selling works.
but say i wanted to SHORT PGL would I be looking at the same MArket depth as if i was wanting to buy?
I have activate a short sell trade, are the shares purchased taken off the market. effectively like owing them.
E.g if there are 100 shares on offer at 4.50 and i want to short PGL at $4.50 with 50 shares.
would there then be 50 shares on off to buy and short sell...
my thinking is effectively... if PGL gets to a stage where there are so many punters going SHORT. at some point the buyers come back in where they think its good value, meaning with everyone being in a short position there are very few people selling.. so the price rises, cause of the low supply of shares..
is that how it works...
not sure?
