as much as we love the smell of a smouldering nuclear power facility in the morning, the effect of that waterway being closed off and the aftermath of an Israeli airstrike will send brent to through the roof..

iran threatened to close the strait off a while back, and smite any aircraft carriers going through it, which prompted a reaction by the US and its allies to sail all their aircraft carriers through the strait.

the posturing iranians backed off and failed to smite anything.. kinda tells you how prepared the world is to stand up to their warmongering,, i dont think anyone fears them, but they are pretty keen to make themselves known, and china needs their oil and is exempt from the export ban and amounts to 80% of their exports, if i recall correctly, so the ban has minimal impact...

always something happening in that region though...
