I must admit I am increasingly getting pixxed off by Coeur's inability to get out of its downtrend.
The HUI had a solid rise last night - nearly 2%.
Of the 14 stocks, six rose more than 2% and another five rose more than 1%.
The worst performer was the laggard NEM, which rose only 0.33% to US$39.85, just US$1.21 off its 12 months low. Its high was US$56.50.
Next worst performer was Coeur, which rose only 0.55% to US$3.65, just 19 cents off its 12 months low. Its 12 months high was US$5.84.
There are still a couple of months to go before shareholders vote on the merger/takeover.
I believe Coeur will need to have clearly broken out of its downtrend by then. If not I believe shareholders will vote against the merger/takeover.
