To be fair SKM do work with a number of vendors (GE and the like) but I guess they are trying to stress the "proven" aspect (though only slightly more proven IMO) of PureCycle. Maybe it helps with the grants process.
WAS may need to make more use of their big company connections (Siemens etc) to win this kind of thing as the geothermal project itself is of an unproven nature, they may want to reduce any risk outside this - or appear to anyway.
As I said - good selling opportunity though, maybe time to restock the coffers?
