OK haven't received a response but have done a little sleuthing.
GER has recently invested in a company called Pacific Heat and Power which doesn't seem to have done much and shares the same office. In fact the products they distribute are Pratt and Whitney owned. Google Sinclair Knight Merz and Pratt and Whitney and you do find a few connections around the place. As I suspected - it appears to be a case of consultants recommending their mates.
Bit of a shame as look what's just happened with GER - good selling opportunity though!
