Just trying to get a feel of the potential strike of Emily 1.
A) Looking at the EBR Depth Map of Emily 1 :
Emily in the Birkhead/Hutton formation is 3 sq. Kms.
Oil column found in Hutton is 6 m deep.
Possible volume of oil 6m x 3 sq.kms. = 18,000 m3
Volume of 1 barrel of oil is 42 gallons = .159m3
Possible number of barrels of oil = Volume of oil reservoir/Volume of 1 barrel ie
18,000/.159 = approx 115,000 barrels of oil
B) EBR depth map says area 3 sq.kms. Net Pay of 10 m P50= 5.5 mmbls
Actual fair show of oil depth 6m.
Extrapolating 6/10 x 5.5 mmbls ; P50 = 3.8 mmbls
A or B ? Obviously either dependent on viscosity of oil, porosity of sandstone etc...any geologists comments ???
