OK F01 maybe I should have been more specific so as to spell it out for those too lazy to do the maths. Below is an example comparing BOQ to CBA for instance.
$100K of capital buys 10030 BOQ shares at closing price. Annual div per share - currently $0.76 = Div $7622.80 + franking credit.
$100K of capital buys 1380 CBA shares at closing price. Annual div per share currently $4.31 = Div of $5947.80 + franking credits.
Those reading this will see where they can get the best bang for their buck. Other banks give different results but the idea of the exercise is to do the maths before hitting the BUY button.
