    Amazing document - I will be updating my financial model based off some of these metrics.

    One thing I do note, from an engineering point of view, is that dealing with salt water always means you need to use more exotic materials in turbines and need to keep a tight control on corrosion etc. This is why some of the tidal current generation schemes (submerged turbines on the ocean floor extracting energy from subsea flows) and non-feasible because you ultimately replace the whole unit 3 times over a 30 years lifespan due to corrosion.

    This means, IMHO, that the Genex PHS project should;

    1. have a lower CAPEX due to less exotic materials
    2. have a smaller footprint due to the close proximity of both the mines
    3. have a lower ongoing operating expense due to less maintenance of parts from corrosion.

    It is exciting that the conversation about PHS in Australia is starting to kick off in earnest. We have the most near-term solution of any project in Australia and should have a very promising investment case for financiers.
