For those interested in a little update on the Alcidion Digital Hospital Operations Centre Program roll-out in the 'land of the great white cloud' see latest meeting minutes from 18 December NZ MDHB

While management make the call and decide on $$ for contracts, it is great to see such positive feedback (yet again) from front line clinical staff who are key opinion leaders that will support long-term adoption and diffusion of the MIYA product suite.

3.8 Digital Patient Flow System (MIYA)

The roll-out of Digital Hospital Operations Centre (MIYA) continues and by 15 December a number of areas across the organisation will be using this tool. The patient journey boards and bed dashboards are now in place in Wards 25, 26, 27, 28/CCU, 29, STAR 2 and 4 (Horowhenua), the Medical Assessment Planning Unit and Emergency Departments. iPads are in place in each area, and the feedback from clinical staff is hugely positive. Within the Emergency Department there are now four large patient journey boards, and staff are able to see a range of results and other information from other systems, including Clinical Portal and WebPAS. The new system will greatly assist the Hospital Operations Centre and Clusters with the flow of patients through the hospital.

I'm quite happy to see a focus on product testing and steady growth in the local market (Aus/NZ), gain some territory in the UK and Wales in 2019 then consider other markets 2020 and beyond.
